How To Become An Eternal Optimist

You Have the Special Power

Today is a day to trust in the universe. While there is immense pain because of the chaos, I am concentrating on what I can create. That is the only thing I have control over. The message I put out to the world comes straight from my heart. On my 100-day journey exploring abundance, I feel that creating an overflow of joy on a dark day is something we all need right now.

A candle of hope flickers in the middle of the table where I sit. My wish is that its light reaches those that need a boost today.

I admit that I feel rattled today. I am more scattered than usual. The whole world seems bitterly uncertain. However, I know that I can send a bit of hope out with my words. That gives me solace.

Today means wearing my rainbow sweater. My husband told me today that it has become harder for him to remain positive with all that is going on. I feel it too. That is why I chose the rainbow today.

For today I will not push myself to do extra work, but I will show up. It is a day for creating a short to-do list. Right now, what is important is to slow down.

Here are three ways you can become an eternal optimist, even on difficult days:

Even on days where the world news is creating chaos in your heart, show up to write, paint, make a video, dance, run, cook. Do something that you can share with others. Creating something brings more light into our lives, and it boosts your mood as well.

When you show up to create, the ripple effect from the joy that you share is immense. You never know when someone needs a lift from your words, artwork, or handiwork. It will create some good in the world that will counteract the bad.

Select something bright, cheerful, and comfortable from your closet. Find joy in wearing something that makes you feel your best. Today I chose my bright pink rainbow sweater…
