Reworking Dragon Stealing in WnD Reborn

We crunched the numbers, and higher ranked dragons were previously just too underwhelming.

This balance update redistributes the odds of being picked to better suit the rarity distribution of dragon ranks.

When dragons were minted, they were assigned a rank between 5–8. Each rank correlates to a point value.

When a wizard is stolen, it is transferred to a dragon selected from the pool of dragons. The higher the dragon’s points, the likelier it is to steal wizards.

Only dragon ranks affect gameplay; rarity scores based on cosmetic traits do not.

The original values in WnD v1 meant mainly R5 dragons were worth buying.

For example, two R5 dragons would have yielded more than one R8 dragon.

With the reworked values, it is now meaningful to purchase any rank dragon and get an expected value out of it.

For example, you are likelier to have 5 R5 dragons than 1 R8 and the reworked percentages reflect that.
