Vampyre Lawyer

The Beginning…

In the ruins of the last house he owned in Transylvania Igor, Count Dracula’s trusted servant, urges the Count to cross a time lord wizard’s palm with silver to have his curse lifted, move to America, find a lawyer and find himself.

Now, over a century later, the Count has just awoken on the exact spot where he fell into a deep sleep on the forest floor. Since then, the world has changed, and to prove it a massive wall of green plows straight through the forest, beyond which can be heard the growls and screams of cars and trucks speeding along a multi-lane highway.

As chance would have it, the Count has just met his savior, in the form of a stocky young man named Waldo, a drummer for Euro-Goth Band the Techno Zombies. Intrigued by his chance encounter Waldo gazes at the tall, disheveled figure who bears a remarkable similarity to the Count Dracula of legend.

We are the biggest Goth Band in the world going on tour Waldo reminds himself silently, and this guy, cleaned up and wearing a newly tailored suit of clothes similar to those he has on now!?!! Why… just walking out on stage would be a sensation.

Having been suspended out of time in a supernatural underworld being born again, the Count exhibits the almost childlike stupidity of rebirth, and is looking forward to going through this new phase of his long and curious life.

Waldo invites him to join the band and rechristens him Drac, but it’s not enough to convince the Count that this is his new path. Waldo adds as an afterthought that the Techno Zombies are embarking on a tour of America, from New Orleans exactly; and thus begins the modern myth, or fairy tale, the updating of a story that has remained the same for over a hundred years; the continuing saga of Count Dracula…Vampyre Lawyer.
