The Design Metrics Product Managers Need To Know

Design is an experience-based process, and it’s difficult to translate its impact over to executives in numbers or trends, which is the language businesses speak.

The right set of UX metrics can help businesses take an unbiased, objective look at their products through their customer’s eyes to determine the value of design.

Design KPIs are metrics that measure the performance of a product to gauge how well its users are receiving it and are divided into two key categories — behavioral metrics (task accomplishment rate, error rate, etc.) and attitudinal metrics (Net Promoter Score, Customer satisfaction score, etc.)

Why is it important that product managers understand what metrics to measure when it comes to design? And how many more of these metrics can you identify and measure in an experience-based field?
