while stress is responsible for most of the emotional problems, we face in our day-to-day activities, sadly there is no permanent solution to stop stress.

Stress can also play a role in the body gaining more weight than usual, thou you might have been maintaining a fine eating habit and healthy lifestyle, while you’re subject to “chronic” stress the body will produce more weight.

During a long period of “chronic” stress, it releases the adrenal gland hormone called cortisol when you get more stressed from a threatening situation to either “fight or flight”.

The response (fight or flight) is more like the survival instinct that triggers us to either fight to survive or flight (run away) from danger, then after the stressful situation, cortisol level increase and released to remind us to eat and replenish our energy (eat more).

It involves cortisol whenever we deal with physical or emotional stress which triggers our body to “fight or flight” (survival instinct)

which is a good thingin early 100-thousand years ago when our ancestors (the cavemen) stress physically when hunting prey for meal,

Fight threatening beast to survive and sometimes flight (run to fight another day) and it requires burning much fat and glucose store for energy.

The problem these days is the body is under stress response emotionally.

More like when you’re being dissatisfied, being anxious, feeling frustrated about work: financial challenges and your stress-out, as always as cortisol will remind you of hunger and replenishing, and you crave unhealthy food.

Within periods of one to four-month or a year eating unhealthy snacks, the body stores fat in your lower abdominal region (the belly region) as a result, you gain weight and you soon realize it when your clothes get tighter to wear.
