Who am I?

I wanted my first post/submission to be a who am I kind of post. I want to start by saying I am not a writer. I have ideas that I enjoy expressing but I also had a horrible time in school growing up which resulted in me not really picking up on grammar or spelling. I have taught myself throughout blog posts and facebook posts and professional email correspondence at work, but I still have a lot of learning and improving to do. I also have no training when it comes to writing, which I assume is painfully obvious already.

I say this here so that expectations are set. This is going to be a place for me to express myself on a number of things which will probably cause me some issues in terms of collecting readers. I will mostly be posting about news, politics, social issues, but also personal feelings and my continued attempts at losing weight. I also appreciate conversations and dissenting opinions. However I would prefer all interactions to remain respectful and civil.

This is going to be a learning and growing experience for me.

I am Tony and this is where I will be writing (hopefully on a consistent basis).
